BAC Jet Provost Mk 5 (N287XW) flew with the Royal Air Force (RAF) Red Pelicans in the early 1970’s. The Red Pelicans were one of a number of RAF aerobatic display teams before the Red Arrows were selected to represent the service in 1965. The Provost is a British jet trainer designed for use as a basic to intermediate jet trainer. Side-by-side seating with dual controls which make it ideal for jet familiarization and training flights. The Provost accelerates quickly and offers exhilarating performance.
